Final Fantasy XIV Xbox Series X|S Version Launching March
Square Enix made an exciting announcement, unveiling that the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, along with its expansions, is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S on March 21, 2024. As a welcoming gesture to new players, the game is currently undergoing an open beta on the console. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can seize the opportunity to claim the Starter Edition as a Perk between March 21 and April 19, 2024.
Originally debuting on PC in September 2010, Final Fantasy XIV underwent a transformative journey. After an initial release and subsequent overhaul, it relaunched for PC and PlayStation 3 in 2013 as A Realm Reborn, presenting a narrative set five years after the original events. Versions for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Mac have since become available, while the PlayStation 3 version ceased operation in 2017. The game boasts four expansions—Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, and Endwalker—with the highly anticipated fifth expansion, Dawntrail, scheduled for a summer release. For those looking to dip their toes into the fantasy world, a Free Trial version is accessible across all platforms, offering access to the game and its first two expansions with no time restrictions, albeit with some limitations.
